About Us

Ake is a kaupapa-led accounting and advisory firm supporting businesses, Māori organisations, and whānau across Aotearoa. Our focus is on excellence, impact, and building long-term client relationships grounded in trust and tikanga.

We are looking for a dedicated Client Services Administrator to support our internal team and our clients.

The Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, accuracy, and relationship-based service.

You will be responsible for:

  • Payroll processing

  • Trust account transactions, reconciliations, and audit-ready recordkeeping

  • Companies Office & Charities Services administration

  • Accounts payable and receivable

  • Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Processing paperless payables (Hubdoc or equivalent)

  • Maintaining accurate data feeds and coding

  • Preparing monthly management reports for Client Managers

  • Lease monitoring and income reconciliation

  • Supporting annual accounts preparation and finalisation

  • Preparing and sending client documents, tracking signatures, and managing workflow in FYI/XPM

  • Grants and Distributions Processing

About You

The successful candidate will bring professionalism, accuracy, and strong people skills.

You will ideally have:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in administration, payroll, bookkeeping, or client services

  • Experience with Xero or other cloud systems

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • A proactive, organised, and positive approach

  • Respect for Te Ao Māori and willingness to embrace tikanga

  • Confidence working with clients and building rapport
