Business Advisory for Māori Trusts and Incorporations
Stronger businesses on your whenua, and a board that can see the numbers clearly.
Many trusts and incorporations run farms, forestry, orchards, tourism ventures or other businesses for their owners. We help those businesses plan, measure and improve, and give trustees an independent view of how they're tracking, so decisions are grounded in good financial information.
A kōrero is a no-obligation chat, by phone, video or over a coffee.

How is this different from your Projects work?
Projects are one-off pieces of work to explore and fund something new, such as a land use study, a feasibility study or a funding application. Advisory is the ongoing support that helps your trust's existing businesses run well: plans, budgets, reporting and a regular outside view.
We already have a general manager. Can you still help?
Yes. We often work alongside a general manager or farm manager: building the budget with them, reporting to the board, and giving trustees an independent view of the numbers.
Does our trust need a business plan?
If the trust runs a business, a plan and a budget give the board something to measure performance against. We keep them short and practical, so they get used rather than filed.
What does it cost?
We agree a fixed quote before we start, based on what your trust needs. Ongoing support can be monthly or quarterly. Larger trusts with staff and significant assets may suit our Virtual CFO service.
Do you do the trust's accounts and tax as well?
Yes. Many trusts have us do both, so the advice and the annual accounts and Māori authority returns come from one team.
