Why get a Business Valuation?

Prepare for Sale

If you're considering selling your business, knowing its true market value helps you negotiate from a position of strength and avoid leaving money on the table.

Succession Planning

Planning to hand the business to family or key staff? A formal valuation ensures fairness, transparency, and smoother transitions.

Bring in Investors or Shareholders

Whether you're raising capital or restructuring ownership, a clear and supportable valuation builds trust and protects everyone involved.

Resolve Shareholder Disputes

When ownership issues arise, an independent valuation provides an objective foundation for resolution.

Understand and Increase Business Value

Many owners ask, “How much is my business worth?” — but the more powerful question is, “How can I increase its value?”
A valuation identifies value drivers and highlights gaps between where you are today and where you could be.

Exit Planning

Even if selling isn’t immediate, knowing your value helps you build a deliberate, strategic exit plan rather than reacting when opportunity knocks.

How we value your business

Our business valuation service is a thorough process that reviews every aspect of your business operations.

This includes looking at operational efficiency, market position, management processes, customer relationships, and even the company culture, as these elements significantly influence overall business performance and value.

By considering these factors alongside industry-leading benchmarking data, we can provide the most accurate, realistic and holistic view of your business's worth, helping you make informed decisions about potential investments, mergers, sale or succession.

Our valuation processes, systems and reports comply with international accounting valuation standards and regulatory requirements.

Our 4 step process

  • The Risk and Value Driver Assessment (RAVDA) is a structured process that allows you to gain better understanding and assess the risk and value drivers in your business including:

    • Industry trends

    • Key person reliance

    • Customers, staff and systems

    • Growth opportunities

The basis for your RAVDA is a detailed online questionnaire
When filling out the RAVDA it is very important that you:

    •       Answer each question;
    •       Rate your degree of concern for each question;
    •       Write as many observations or comments that you feel will assist us in understanding your views.

You do not need to complete the RAVDA all at once. You can save your answers at any stage, as you work through the questions. When you have completed the entire RAVDA you can then submit your responses.

  • We will standardise your business profit, so it can be compared with other similar businesses.

  • We use the largest and most accurate valuation benchmarks databases to validate our value assessment and to identify future value improvement opportunities.

  • We’ll propose support to help you grow the value of your business, tailored to your specific needs, timeline and goals. Services include: • Strategic Planning • Business Coaching • Organisational Reviews • Succession Planning • Cashflow & Profit Improvement Coaching

    • Current management accounts

    • Details of assets and liabilities

    • Growth plans and forecasts (if available)

    • Completion of our RAVDA questionnaire

The more accurate and complete the information, the more reliable the valuation.

  • Yes — and in many cases, significantly.
A valuation highlights key value drivers such as profitability, systems, recurring revenue, customer concentration, and leadership structure. With the right strategy, business value can often be improved before going to market.

  • Not necessarily — but understanding your business value gives you clarity around risk, growth potential, and long-term planning. Many owners use valuations as part of their annual strategic review or as a restructuring of their organisational structure.
