Ake Projects is a Māori project and development consultancy based in Whakatāne.
At Ake, we help your Trust or organisation explore opportunities for its assets & whenua, providing outcomes that are practical, sustainable and aligned with your values. A deep respect for tikanga, mātauranga Māori and your role as kaitiaki are integral to our work with you.
Specialising in Land Utilisation Studies, Feasibility Studies, PGF & Government Funding Applications among other consultancy services, customised to your needs. Our clients include landowners, Trusts and Māori Authorities, businesses, local government and Government agencies.

Our service looks beyond the numbers to ensure your cultural values and the long-term health and viability of resources are encompassed in our recommendations.

Funding Applications & Reporting
We have extensive experience and knowledge of different types of Government and Māori specific funding, including the Provincial Growth Fund. We can help you establish what funding you may be eligible for, and then collate and organise the right information for funding proposals. Once funding is underway, we can also undertake any progress reports required by the funder.
